The Impala Cricket Club started out with only about 30 members and no full time coaches or community development initiatives. Today it is a well established club which actively engages in community development cricket involving some 332 development players. Membership currently stands at 90 members.
The club engages two full-time coaches as well as 10 level one coaches and two level two assistant coaches. The players receive full individual training and all sessions are open to the public.
Currently the club has seven teams competing in official leagues. It achieved a respectable fourth place in the National Club Championships in 2008 and has qualified for the 2009 competition. It was also recently recognized as one of 12 Clubs of Excellence in South Africa.
